Current projects
- Help to develop the Council retrofitting strategies for privately owned or occupied buildings, by suggesting case studies and business models.
- Encourage owners to make refurbishments and extensions, as well as new buildings, match the Net Zero Carbon ambition, by simplifying the statement of sustainability claims.
- Work to ensure that planning guidelines and rules are readily understood and applied to satisfy both heritage and environment objectives, by (for example) putting forward simple statements and sensitive extensions of permitted development rights.
